After the exciting DDR-Exp Crystal event in 2023, the long-awaited 12th edition of DDR-Exp took place at a brand-new venue following our move in July 2024. Rhythm game enthusiasts from around the country and beyond gathered for their passion for music games.
This year’s event featured a diverse selection of arcade and console games. Among the special arcade highlights were CrossBeats, Nostalgia, and the classic Crazy Taxi. Alongside these, many beloved rhythm games were available, including Beatmania IIDX, Sound Voltex, Jubeat, Pop’n Music, In the Groove, Pump It Up, and more.
The competitive spirit was alive throughout the day, with tournaments in Guitar Hero, ITG Light, ITG Heavy, Sound Voltex, Beatmania IIDX, and Donkey Konga. Players showcased their skill. The vibein the venue was good, making every competition a thrilling spectacle.
Beyond the tournaments, attendees could freely enjoy a variety of console and PC games, ranging from retro classics to modern favorites. Whether trying out Groove Coaster with a custom arcade controller, jamming together in Rock Band, or testing reflexes in Osu.
DDR-Exp v12 was a huge success, proving once again that this event is truly by the community, for the community. A fantastic new venue, this edition set a high bar for future events. We can’t wait for the next one.
